ティスティナ/Tistina †

　TCGのDuelist Nexusでカテゴリ化された「Tistina」と名のついたカード群。
　属するモンスターは全て水族で統一されている。
　一方の属性は６属性に分散しているが、レベル・ランク10は（罠モンスターも含めて）全て光属性である。

  • 公式YouTubeの解説は以下の通り。
    In this world, there is a massive crystal embedded in the center of a great mountain range.
An entire crystal domain extends forth from it in every direction,
changing everything that's touched by it into the same type of crystal.
The crystal rot doesn't just affect the environment either.
It spreads to animals and other lifeforms within the domain of the great crystal,
transforming them into an entire new being.
Is it a natural disaster or something else?
Whatever it is, the creatures it's altered continue to roam free.
The rot continues to spread, and something else seems to be forming within the domain as well.
At the center of it all lies something that has become known as the Crystal God Tistina,
and all who gaze upon its form marvel at its beauty and experience true fear.

この世界には、大きな山脈の中心に埋もれた巨大な結晶がある。
そこから結晶の領域全域が四方八方に広がり、
触れたものをすべて同種の結晶に変えてしまう。
結晶の侵食は環境だけに影響するわけではない。
大結晶の領域内にいる動物や他の生物にも広がり、
彼らをまったく新しい存在に作り変えてしまうのだ。
それは自然災害なのか、それとも別の何かなのだろうか？
それが何であろうと、作り変えられた生物は自由に歩き回り続ける。
侵食は広がり続けており、領域内でも別の何かが形成されているようだ。
その中心には、結晶神ティスティナと知られる存在が眠っていて、
その姿を見つめる者は皆、その美しさに驚嘆するとともに、真の恐怖を味わうことになる。
  • 水晶のようなイラストのため、カテゴリ名はイタリア語の「ametistina（アメジスト色の）」の捩りだろうか。
    • もしくは、小惑星族「Baptistina family」に由来する可能性がある。
      名前は現在観測できる小惑星「298 Baptistina」を含んでいることに由来する。
      「Baptistina family」に含まれていた小惑星が、6,500万年前に地球に衝突しチクシュルーブ・クレーターを形成し、恐竜の絶滅を引き起こしたとする説が2007年に提唱されたが、2011年に否定されている。
  • 公式YouTubeにおける解説を鑑みると、元ネタとなったのはクトゥルフ神話に登場する惑星ムトゥーラ(Mthura)、およびそこに住む旧支配者クィス＝アズ(Q'yth-az)だろう。
    クィス＝アズは知性を持つ巨大な水晶であり、触れたものを自分と同質の結晶へと変化させる。
    生物が触れた場合は骨を結晶化し、全く別の生物に変えてしまうとされる。
    • 結晶は霜のようと形容され、同時にクィス＝アズは内側から未知の光を放ち、人間に対してテレパシーを行うとされる。
      種族、属性はこれをモチーフにしたものだろう。
  • コナミのゲーム作品において―
    マスターデュエルでは2024年3月8日にOCGに先駆けて実装された。
